We started Jybe because we wanted to do good things with good people. So far, it's working.
Chief Executive Officer
Alison is a strong leader with an unshakable determination to help solve the world’s single-use plastic crisis. At JYBE, she oversees optimization of the app to ensure a positive user experience that provides a trusted source of sustainable packaging information amid a market filled with greenwashing. She is passionate about debunking the notion that plastic is cheaper, and works diligently with restaurant partners to help them transition to affordable eco-friendly package options.
With a mission-driven background, Alison brings more than a decade of experience in both private and not-for-profit ventures with a focus on nationwide partnerships and operations. Most recently as Director, Organizer Success at Goldstar Events, Alison led a team that supported more than 6,000 event organizer partners nationwide. Previously she worked as a manager in business operations at FamilyFINDS, a daily deal website with 300K subscribers, through its merger with CertifiKids.
In prior roles with CureSearch and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, she devoted her talents to fundraising on behalf of pediatric illnesses and achieving aggressive, annual increases in development goals. Alison holds a B.A. from Loyola Marymount University.
Chief Sustainability Officer
As Chief Sustainability Officer, Paul ensures every aspect of the company honors JYBE’s sustainability values, bringing a strong background in communication strategies to effectively reach consumers. He vets product innovation, app reviews, and all company activity through a sustainability lens, including regional regulations, and works directly with partners to educate and help them transition to more Earth-friendly practices. He is also invested in the vendor process as well as JYBE’s Provider Playbook and Simple Swaps programs, obtaining new and experimental packaging materials for research and development.
Previously, he worked in philanthropic communications for a non-profit national hospital network. In response to his rising alarm over the planet’s climate crisis, Paul left his career in communications in 2018 to launch CO2CYCLE, an environmental sustainability firm working with commercial and photo shoots to make their sets carbon neutral, single-use plastic-free and more mindful about recycling waste. Since launching in August 2018, CO2CYCLE has worked on nearly two dozen sets and seen a growing interest in the service. Paul holds a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in English Literature.
